Ever pause to think about that slice of toast you had this morning, or the delicious cookie from your favorite bakery? That humble little grain, wheat, the backbone of so many of our beloved foods, has quite the story. And believe it or not, a significant part of that story might just be unfolding right here in our own backyard, the Skagit Valley.
