Vancouver, British Columbia, is the third largest city in Canada, and in this bustling metropolis on the west coast, there is plenty to see, even in 28 hours.
Hopping aboard Amtrak Cascades, we headed north for a quick weekend away. The train offers a great way to travel, and this line connects 18 cities along the I-5 corridor and into Canada, making it easy and accessible. We settled into our seats, ready to begin our adventures and enjoy the ride.

Arriving in Vancouver, B.C., we disembark at Pacific Central Station. After clearing customs, we beeline across the block to catch the city's public rail system, aptly named theSky Train. It is hard to miss this highly efficient train that is elevated above the main road and busy intersections. Taking it two stops brings us into downtown Vancouver's hub and within a few blocks of our hotel, L'Hermitage.
A total of 28 hours in this buzzing city lay ahead of us — just enough time to soak up the ambiance and vibe and see a few of its top attractions..
